On April 20, 2024 in Greensboro on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University, the NC Piedmont Triad K-12 STEM Student Enrichment Ecosystem is brought together local, regional, and state STEM Learning Ecosystems. This inclusive network spans preK-12 schools, community-based organizations, higher education institutions, STEM experts, businesses, funders, and more!
Our Resources
Our mission is to bridge the educational attainment gap
for underrepresented minority (URM) students by fostering a
robust STEM Learning Ecosystem in the NC Piedmont-Triad
region. Funded by the Burroughs Wellcome Foundation, we
aim to build and nurture a Community of Practice that
integrates schools, community programs, science centers,
museums, and informal learning experiences.
By creating a repository of existing K-14/16
programs, we strive to provide equitable access to STEM-rich
learning environments, ensuring that all students, regardless
of their background, have the opportunity to develop
essential skills to pursue successful careers in STEM fields.
